Sofia Nordgren
Sofia Nordgren is a Swedish international speaker, author, trauma-informed educator, strategic consultant and Registered Nurse with more than 30 years of experience within healthcare, leadership, coaching, workplace wellbeing and organisational development.
Her work focuses on identity, emotional wellbeing, psychosocial workplace health, resilience, communication, leadership and sustainable human development — supporting both individuals and organisations navigating complex human challenges and life transitions.
Drawing from both professional expertise and lived experience as an intercountry adoptee from Bangladesh, Sofia also lectures and provides support connected to identity, belonging, trauma awareness, grief, exclusion, reunion journeys and adoption-related experiences.
Sofia has participated as an international speaker at congresses and conferences addressing child protection, intercountry adoption, identity, trauma and human rights. Through lectures, workshops and panel discussions, she has contributed to important conversations alongside adoptees, researchers, professors, doctors, biological families, activists and professionals from different countries — helping raise awareness around adoption-related challenges, reunion journeys, identity struggles and the long-term emotional impact of adoption.
